Our Mission_____________________________________________________________________________________

Cumbria Ghost Hunts was set up to meet an increasing demand into paranormal investigations. Mark Hankin, the groups founder and tarot reader, discovered that when he was doing tarot readings, he was getting more and more requests to investigate client's houses, as there was 'something' there.

This led Mark to consider setting up a group of people who were dedicated to investigating alleged paranormal activity and the result is Cumbria Ghost Hunts.

There are three strands to what we do:

  • Private investigations -  Private investigations can also be done for groups, as a corporate reward or to help with team building, as an anniversary or birthday experience, hen or stag event or just for a group of people who have always wanted to go on a paranormal investigation.
  •

  • Public investigations - we take up to 25 participants and you take part in a REAL paranormal investigation at a carefully chosen location. Of course we cannot promise anything will happen, but you won't know unless you try.
  •

  • Charity investigations - contact us if you are interested in raising funds for your charity as we do a number of these events each year.
  •

The upshot of this is that Cumbria Ghost Hunts now hosts regular events where members of the public can participate in a REAL paranormal investigation.

Nothing is faked, nothing is made up, nothing is manufactured to happen, it is ALL real.

Whether it is a private dwelling or a public participation event, we will ALWAYS approach each investigation with professionalism.

We do not 'overload' each venue with as many participants as possible like some commercial ventures, and we have a limit as to how many we allow in each location.

Full risk assessments are undertaken before the event and you will be given a safety briefing prior to commencing the investigation.

We have a fully qualified first aider, at each investigation in the unlikely case of accident.

Access needs are a prime consideration for CGH and we try where possible to use venues that are fully accessible for all participants. Unfortunately, some locations may have stairs or other potential barriers for those with limited mobility, but such features will be highlighted in the description of the investigation and also prior to booking. If you wish to discuss access needs at any loction, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will try our very best to accommodate you.
